Refund Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains how schools can cancel Tsela and when we give refunds or credits.

1. How billing works

Schools pay per learner per month, billed per school term in advance, unless the school's agreement says otherwise. Building uploaded textbooks, and reading term plans and past tests, can carry a one-off setup charge, which is shown before the work starts.

2. Cancelling

  • A school can cancel by giving us 30 days' notice in writing, by email.
  • We refund the school for whole months it has already paid for that fall after the 30-day notice period ends, worked out pro rata.

3. One-off setup charges

  • Setup charges for work already done, such as a textbook we have already built, are not refundable, because the AI costs have already been paid.
  • If a build fails because of a fault on Tsela's side, the school does not pay for that failed work.

4. If Tsela lets you down

If Tsela is unavailable for a long time, or we cannot give the school what we agreed, the school can ask for a fair refund or credit. We will look at each request fairly.

5. How to ask and how we pay

  • Email To be added with the school's name and what you are asking for.
  • Refunds are paid by EFT into the school's bank account within 30 days of being approved.

6. Your rights under the law

The Consumer Protection Act and other laws may give some customers extra rights. Nothing in this policy takes those rights away.
