Cookie Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Tsela only uses cookies and browser storage that it needs to work. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and no other companies set cookies through Tsela.
2. Other browser storage
Tsela also saves some things on your device. These are not cookies, but they work in a similar way:
| Name | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| tsela_learner_id | Local storage | Remembers which learner is using a shared phone, so practice done offline is saved to the right person. |
| Reading preferences | Local storage | Remembers display choices such as bigger text or the easy-read font. |
| tsela_install_hint | Local storage | Hides the tip about adding Tsela to your home screen once you close it. |
| Offline study packs | IndexedDB | Keeps study sections you download, and practice results waiting to be saved, so Tsela works without data. |
| App files | Service worker cache | Keeps Tsela's pages on your device so the app opens offline. |
3. Why there is no cookie banner
Everything listed here is needed for Tsela to work: to sign in, to remember your settings and to work offline. Because we use nothing else, we do not show a cookie banner. If we ever want to add cookies that are not essential, such as analytics, we will ask for your permission first.
4. Clearing or blocking cookies
- You can delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings, usually under Privacy or Site settings.
- If you block or delete them, you will be signed out, and Tsela will not work offline until you sign in and download your study packs again.
